Welcoming The Visitors

Last week the Idaho Vandals football team played an away game at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field. Even after watching their team lose 7-37 most of the Vandal fans thoroughly enjoyed their road game experience. What made the trip to College Station unique was the Aggies welcoming efforts, the most noteworthy of which was an ongoing video board segment. When players for the Aggies with ties to the Vandals were featured on the video board those ties were explained through short video segments. For instance, one Texas A&M player had a grandfather who played college football at Idaho. Taking small steps like this to welcome visitors can create a fantastic game day environment by packing your stadium full of happy fans for the both the home and visiting teams.
