The Philadelphia Phillies’ souvenir bags are bags on a mission or at least bags with a mission statement. Bags are traditionally something that make it all the way home with consumers. Putting the Phillies Community Mission Statement on the bags makes a ton of sense. Shoppers most likely won’t take the time to read a mission statement posted on a wall or printed on a receipt. They may, however, read the bag during a stoppage in play or on the drive home.
