A Mirrored Helmet?

It’s that time of year again where I spend a blog post noting what the Duck football team will be wearing. This year, like all in recent memory, the Ducks are sporting an entirely new wardrobe for their bowl appearance. The Ducks who take on the Wisconsin Badgers on Monday January 2nd will be wearing mirrored helmets. The jerseys are supposedly packed with technological improvements but visually the helmets are what look crazy. The initial release photos (seen here and below) led to the helmets being referred to as the “Darth Vader Helmets”.

However, once people were allowed to get up close and personal with the helmets it became clear they are much more like mirrors. Below are some of my favorite shots taken by Eric Evans around LA earlier this week.
