One of my favorite University of Oregon branding efforts occurs regularly on its scoreboard during football games. Making an “O” with one’s hands became greatly popular during the Joey Harrington football era in the early 2000s. Now it is a universally known fan and player gesture. On special occasions celebrities (or Photoshopped celebrities) celebrate the O on the Duck’s scoreboard as well. Below are two of my favorite examples.
